Update on CrowdStrike Outage and Phishing Alert
We wanted to address the widespread disruption caused by yesterday's global CrowdStrike outage. For those clients that utilize CrowdStrike we are pleased to report that we've taken immediate action to mitigate the issue by configuring CrowdStrike to stop pushing the problematic update and rolling back affected endpoints to their last known good version. Our engineers are diligently monitoring the situation to ensure that there are no lingering disruptions arising as a result of this outage. If you are running Crowdstrike on your personal home machines and are experiencing issues, please reach out to us and we will help you recover.
Additionally, as you may be aware, there has been a significant surge in email and phone phishing attacks that claim to be from IT, supposedly fixing the CrowdStrike issue. Be cautious of emails claiming to be from IT. These messages may appear convincing, but they are designed to trick you into providing authorized access to your devices. Remember, our official communications will always come from our standard company email addresses, and we will never request sensitive information or passwords via email.
If you experience any issues with your devices or receive suspicious communications claiming to be from IT, please reach out to your dedicated POC or our support team immediately. We're committed to helping you resolve any concerns and ensuring the security of your environment.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Sincerely,
— Your HalcyonFT Team
