Important Notice Regarding AT&T Data Breach
We are writing to inform you that on March 30th, 2024, AT&T gave notice that for the last two weeks private client data going back to 2019 was available to the public. According to reports on Wall Street Journal and ABC News, data from an estimated 73 million AT&T accounts may have been leaked to the dark web and the public internet AT&T is investigating the root cause of the breach.
The reports indicate that the leaked data may include personal information such as Social Security numbers and four-digit AT&T account passcodes. It is important to note that at this time, there is no indication of personal financial information or call history being compromised.
We recommend that you take the following steps to protect yourself:
Monitor your AT&T account for any suspicious activity.
Change your four-digit account passcode and sign in password for your AT&T account.
Enable two-factor authentication whenever possible.
Consider locking your credit if open and subscribing to a credit monitoring service.
Be cautious of any unsolicited emails, phone calls, or text messages that you receive.
Remain vigilant and cautious when sharing personal information online.
